ECU Hosts Early Season Tournament

The NC State men’s ultimate club kicks off the 2016/17 season this weekend, Sept 17/18th, at ECU. Played on grass fields at one of the best complexes in the Carolinas for ultimate, the Pack will enter two teams, split strength X & Y teams, as it competes against regional foes UNC and UNC-W.

The JinxCam will be at the tournament recording games, but no live streams for this event. Games will be processed with uploads beginning early next week to the team’s YouTube channel:

As a test, the JinxCam was used during this tournament behind the end zone as a tactical cam. This footage will better allow coaches to evaluate the almost 40 players that made up NC State’s two teams. See this sample footage taken between NC State and ODU.

Update: Both NCSU teams finished the tournament 5-3 and were knocked out by X & Y teams from UNC and UNC-W. The influx of freshmen joining the NC State team, likely one of the nation’s strongest incoming classes, is clearly going to transform the team for the upcoming 16/17 season.
